Is there anything special that i have to do to get on the ladder?

The ladder is for Guilds who participate in GvG battles. So, to get on the ladder, join a guild that's either already on it or one that's doing GvG in an effort to get there.

You have to be ranked 3,000 or better. Shouldn't be too hard.

Ranking is determined by rating, which you get from winning GvGs. You lose rating by losing GvGs.

I have a few friends in a new GvG guild who got from unranked to 158 in a couple of days, it's not too hard.
